Through central questions that dealt with the theme, the teachers participating in the study were able to report their experiences and provide information that allowed them to analyze the meaning attributed to teaching planning and identify which are the main elements that constitute and guide the action of planning. The methodological procedure adopted in this work was the case study with a qualitative approach. The survey covered 9 schools from different regions of the state capital. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire consisting of two sections was used, the first related to the profile of the participant, while the second going deeper into the theme of teaching planning. The research identified certain inconsistencies about the meanings of teaching planning, teachers present superficial knowledge about such a process, they end up neglecting essential aspects for a reflective, representative and significant construction of pedagogical actions.
