Aiming to reflect on the role of evaluation in a school belonging to the private school in Natal / RN. The data presented were collected from the research and analysis of data from school bulletins from that institution. The analysis revealed that, because the school no longer performs evaluative activities of a classificatory nature, and starts to use several evaluation instruments, it is possible for the learner to make a significant progress in the development of their learning, once the teacher starts to refer their actions According to the specificities of their students.
