In this perspective, the present project was made for design aerodynamically a shrouded wind turbine of 300 W and to evaluate which benefits this new approach can bring in relation to the design of the same wind turbine without this equipment. For this, was studied the processes that involve the wind flow through a wind turbine, the performance of the aerodynamic profiles that form the blades and which features are influenced by the addition of the diffuser on the project. The methodology used to develop the wind turbine was the Blade Element Momentum (BEM), where it was possible to calculate values of active forces and generated power.
