Infiltrantes resinosos em lesões brancas cariosas e não cariosas: revisão de escopo. Orientador: Isauremi Vieira de Assunção. 2024. 49 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Grraduação em Odontologia) - Departamento de Odontologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58567Preserving the tooth structure as much as possible, as well as pulp health are principles to be followed in the management of carious lesions. Among the minimally invasive procedures, resinous infiltration appears, which is a micro-invasive technique that was introduced in 2009 and launched on the market under the name ICON (DMG, Hamburg, Germany), which consists of the use of a resinous infiltrant, associated with hydrochloric acid (HCl) and ethanol. This work aimed to identify, map and understand the extent and type of existing evidence on resinous infiltrants, used in preventive and therapeutic dentistry. A scoping review was carried out, searching for articles in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Embase, Scopus and Web of Science. Publications of clinical trial studies, written in English, Portuguese and Spanish from 2014 to 2024, were selected. Satisfactory results were found from the use of this technique in both non-cavitated carious lesions and non-cavitated lesions. Studies show that resin infiltration is promising in stopping non-cavitated carious lesions and other types of non-carious lesions, such as hypomineralization and fluorosis. Knowledge of resin infiltration deserves to be disseminated and its use expanded, so that more people can benefit from this type of minimally invasive intervention, seeking greater dental longevity.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Estética DentáriaCárie dentáriaHipoplasia do Esmalte DentárioTratamento ConservadorInfiltrantes resinosos em lesões brancas cariosas e não cariosas: revisão de escopoResinous infiltrators in carious and non-carious white lesions: scoping reviewbachelorThesis
