The objective of this work is to develop and analyze the mechanical properties and fracture characteristics of a composite laminate reinforced with a fabric of hybrid Kevlar / 49 fibers and glass / E fibers impregnated with orthophthalic polyester resin, the influence of anisotropy and the loading of uniaxial compression. To analyze the influence of anisotropy, two configurations of test specimens (cp's) were used in relation to the orientation of the fibers in relation to the direction of the applied load.
