Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - TCC (graduação) - Departamento de Odontologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, RN, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59491Introduction: The application of a technique involving the thermal treatment of the plasma layer obtained after centrifugation of blood material during the PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) confection protocol results in a material with extended in situ retention time, referred to as Alb-PRF. The extended degradation properties of this biomaterial, along with its growth factor release capacity, are crucial factors for its applicability in regenerative dentistry. Objective: To conduct an integrative review of the literature on the autologous biomaterial Alb-PRF. Methodology: The integrative review was conducted using the PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Lilacs, and Embase databases, utilizing descriptors such as "ALB-Gel," "ALB-CGF," "ALB-PRF," "Plasma-gel," "tissue repair," "tissue graft," and other alternative terms. Results: Thirteen articles, covering the period from 2018 to 2024, were selected and included in the research. The studies included in vitro analyses of proteomic signaling and growth factor release from the membrane, clinical outcomes in animals and humans demonstrating favorable bone formation, and analyses of structural conformation and degradation properties up to 1 week slower than that of the PRF. The findings indicated that Alb-PRF possesses similar characteristics to PRF in terms of growth factor release and the induction of bone and soft tissue healing directly involving fibroblastic activity, in addition to notable advantages over PRF. Conclusion: Alb-PRF is capable of remaining implanted in vivo for a longer duration compared to other autologous membranes, such as PRF, while releasing growth factors, bone formation inducers, and agents with anti-inflammatory characteristics.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/alb-PRFalb-PRFodontologia regenerativamembrana autólogareparo tecidualregenerative dentistryautologous membranetissue repairAnálise da capacidade da L-PRF (fibrina rica em plaquetas e leucócitos) associada com gel de albumina (ALB-PRF) na promoção de reparo tecidual na odontologia: uma revisão integrativaAnalysis of the capacity of L-PRF (leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin) associated with albumin gel (ALB-PRF) in promoting tissue repair in dentistry: an integrative reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
