Thus, this study aimed to investigate and understand what the playful role in the teaching-learning process, verifying what benefits this tool offers students at the moment of their intellectual development. The methodological procedures that form used consisted of the analysis and preparation of qualitative data through theoretical research-based reading and reflection of books, articles, magazines and educational documents, such as the Referential National Curriculum of Early Childhood Education (RCNEI) where they are inserted concepts, keywords and various guidelines that have given us support for the construction of the theoretical framework. The results show that children are more likely to learn through toys, games and activities, therefore, develops diversified skills, and enhance those that already own.
