Thus, public spaces of leisure and physical activity, implemented by the public power in several Brazilian cities, seek to contribute to health prevention care, with due cultivation of healthy habits, in public spaces for leisure and physical activity. But in Brazil, the problem of urban violence is a constant, which challenges everyone. The study is based on theoretical research from the deepening of the concept of public space, urban violence and physical activity, and supported by theoretical and methodological references, this research aims at the problematization of physical activity practices in public urban spaces. The discussion on this theme is relevant, since it focuses on the practice of physical activity, in public spaces, contributing to the quality of life and well-being.
