Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Enfermagem) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, RN, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/45981Objective: to identify scientific evidence on the impacts of COVID-19 on the continuity of breastfeeding. Method: This is an integrative literature review that included articles indexed in the following databases: MEDLINE/PubMed, Embase, Scopus and Web of Science, published between the years 2020 to 2021, as these are the years of the pandemic caused by COVID -19. The descriptors were used: COVID-19, Infant, Newborne, Breastfeeding and their synonyms. The collection took place between September and October 2021. Results: After reading and analyzing the 10 selected articles, with different methodologies, carried out in different countries and published in international journals. The challenges and experiences of breastfeeding during the pandemic period and the presence of SARS-CoV-2 and antibodies in milk, as well as the feasibility of breastfeeding, were evaluated. Conclusion: This review made it possible to identify the negative impacts that the pandemic caused on the continuity of AM. The main factors observed were insecurity in breastfeeding their children due to fear of vertical transmission, longer gestation time during the pandemic, places with high rates of COVID-19 cases, low milk production and separation of the mother and child.COVID-19Recém-NascidoAmamentaçãoImpacto da pandemia na continuidade do aleitamento materno: revisão integrativabachelorThesis
