This document consistsof a technical report and an architecture project. Male residences at the Universidade Federal Rural do Semiárido (UFERSA) campus were built in the 1980s. Even with recent structure repairs, these residences still keep old original aspects and continue to present issues related to thermal performance, not having leisure and socialization common areas, as well as low housing units based on nowadays demand. This project provides a solution to thoseidentified problems by designing a new student housing through systematic planning data analysis, simulations, and solution application. To accomplish that, specific research was made based on site bioclimatic criteria, as well as theoretical studies for designdefinition guidelines related to temporary housing and software analysis simulation for better ventilation, sunlight, and acoustic parameters.
