The objective of this research was to confront Eurocentric identity by examining and reflecting on the students' cultural identification process, aiming to develop a Pedagogical Booklet to support teachers about the formation of the Brazilian people, highlighting the contribution of the cultural diversity of the Indigenous people. The historiographical discussion about indigenous themes in teaching materials and at school was an object of reflection, based on the legal guidance regarding the indigenous approach. The theoretical-methodological foundations of the research were the bibliographical review regarding the New Indigenous History and History teaching, in addition to the application of the questionnaire and drawing technique to understand how the teachers at the Municipal School Parnamirim- RN work with cultural diversity in their classes and which materials they consult for studies and class preparation. By identifying the gaps present in the History textbook used by teachers and correlating them with the legality pointed out in the references, we observed that the Indigenous theme is not yet presented in the textbook from a perspective of valuing and recognizing its contribution to education of the Brazilian people.
