This internship was carried out in a Nursery II class, consisting of very young children. The main objective of this study is to present and analyze the experiences gained, especially regarding the practice of storytelling, which was incorporated as a permanent activity in the children's routine by the lead teacher. This report aims to reflect on the importance of storytelling in child development, aligning with official documents guiding Early Childhood Education, such as the National Common Curricular Base (2017), the National Curricular Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (2009), and the Curriculum Reference for Early Childhood Education (1998), as well as theories presented by authors Sonia Kramer (2011, 2007, 2005, 1994) and Fanny Abramovich (2009). These authors emphasize the relevance of reading and storytelling from the earliest years of life, highlighting how such practices significantly contribute to children's cognitive and social development. As discussed, storytelling not only promotes language and communication development but also stimulates critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The experience report seeks to highlight how storytelling, when consistently integrated into the children's routine, reinforces the importance of this pedagogical resource for their holistic development.
