One of the possibilities for improving business practices is the use of process management based on the Business Process Management (BPM) methodology and the Lean philosophy, models that initially focus on improving production through process mapping and redesign, followed by improved use. resources, generating results in various other areas of the organization. Thus, this study aims to analyze, based on simple observation and through a semi-structured interview, how these methods identify and characterize the bottlenecks and waste that occur in the activities of organizations. The research that took place during this study was characterized as applied research due to the objective of proposing suggestions for improvement, through the observation of routine activities, to the organization under analysis.
