The data were analyzed by means of a statistical package, to determine the mean and percentage values for the safety culture size calculations. Comments on patient safety, the last issue of the instrument, were processed and analyzed with the support of the Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires. The study was submitted to the Ethics Committee in Research of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and obtained approval by means of a consubstantiated opinion of nº. 1,847,136, under Certificate of Presentation for Ethical Appreciation nº 61201316.3.0000.5537.
