Most deaths from PPH are extremely preventable and depend on effective and agile protocols for a clinical approach. As such, the training of professionals working in the maternal and child health network emerges as a very relevant variable. Objective: This research aims to evaluate the level of self-perceived knowledge and adoption of good practices on PPH, before and after the participation of health professionals in the Course on Prevention and Obstetric Management of Hemorrhage – Zero Maternal Death from Hemorrhage Strategy. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study, with a retrospective pre-post approach, to evaluate the educational intervention by 0MMxH in a sample of 85 health professionals, including obstetricians, anesthesiologists and nurses, who completed the study participation protocol. Results: From the statistical analysis of the presented data, including Wilcoxon t test, the level of self-perceived knowledge by the professionals increased for all the described, when comparing the pre and post-test periods. However, reports of low or no knowledge persisted, especially in relation to non-drug interventions. Conclusion: It was possible to consistently evaluate the beneficial impact of professional training strategies, with varied methodological approaches and congruent with the thematic proposal, but content related to non-pharmacological treatment of PPH represents the greatest need for attention. Training plays an essential role in health education, as well as in the continuous improvement of obstetric care provided.
