In this context, the emergence of muscle weakness acquired in the ICU is common, which has negative consequences for the patient. In this reality, early mobilization appears as an alternative to combat these negative effects. This work aims to present a proposal for an early mobilization protocol for the university hospital. This is an interactive literature review carried out in the following databases: SciELO, MEDLINE, LILCAS, Scopus and Web of Science with the descriptors: “ICU”, “early mobilization” and “muscle weakness”. There were 15 articles selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. From them, an early mobilization protocol and safety criteria for its initiation and interruption were formulated. It is suggested that testing and validation research be carried out, in addition to education and training initiatives for the multidisciplinary team to implement the protocolAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/UTIMobilização precoceDebilidade muscularICUEarly mobilizationMuscle weaknessProtocolo de mobilização precoce para pacientes críticosEarly mobilization protocol for critical patientsbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL
