Monografia (Licenciatura em Música) – Escola de Música, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/33819This work presents the description of a teaching experience with children from 2 to 6 years of age, in a private school in the city of Natal / RN, from April 2017 to November 2017 and later from February 2018 to November 2018, aimed at the teaching practice in children's music education, having as pedagogical resource the use of musical instruments in the process of musicalization in basic education for children. For this, the present work aims to show the use of these musical instruments as pedagogical support to the music teacher in children's education, in order to use them in their classes, addressing the contents established by the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education (RCNEI). I reflect on the little exploitation in research involving this theme in children's education and in children's musical education, even though it is relevant to both parties. A brief historical survey of music education and early childhood education was made, addressing some authors. Activities and guidelines on how to use musical instruments during class were mentioned and how this use contributed to the development of classes and students. I conclude with observations about the teaching practice, reporting the positive and negative points that the use of the instruments can bring in music classes, the expansion of the material with possibilities of new activities. Based on the use of musical instruments as a tool to assist the teacher in the process of musicalization, it is believed that this research will contribute to new reflections on musical practice in early childhood education, as well as an open look at the creation of pedagogical materials, stimulating other professionals to share the ideas presented.Educação musicalInstrumentos musicaisEducação InfantiiMusical educationChild educationMusical instrumentsbachelorThesis
