The purpose of this work is to verify the presence of these specifications in the tissues and the suitability of them for their use in the field of action and supported in laboratory tests and technical standards. The Brazilian Army, Brazilian Navy and Federal Highway Police uniforms with RIPSTOP fabric were used as samples. The tests: weight, thickness, weft and warp density, warp and weft yarn strength, tensile strength, ASTM D 5034, tear strength ASTM D 2261-81, seam stiffness ( ISO 13935/2 - GRAB METH - SEWN FABIC TRACTION), from pilling, fastness to dry and wet friction, dimensional stability, fastness to washing, fastness to sea water and fastness to sweat. The tests were carried out with fulcrum in the standard norms for the military textile fabrics, according to "BASIC TEXT OF SPECIFICATION STANDARD, MILITARY TEXTILES, DMI 039 / s2000-E, of June 26, 2000". The samples present adequate conditions for the tests to be confronted in accordance with the requirements of this Proposal.
