Objective: to analyze the effects of a closed kinetic chain functional exercise program on pain, function and quality of life in people with knee osteoarthritis. Methods: this was a non-randomized quasi-experimental study with a sample of 25 individuals diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, being evaluated regarding pain, function, quality of life, using the numerical pain scale (end), western ontario and mcmaster universities osteoarthritis (womac), sf36 and tampa scale, in addition to functional tests such as timed up and go (tug), sit and stand 30”, 40m walk and 8 steps test. Results: there was a significant improvement in pain according to WOMAC and improvement in functional capacity, limitations of physical aspects, pain, general health status, vitality and emotional and social aspects.
