Análise de filtros e atributos sísmicos e interpretação sismoestrutural da porção SW da Bacia do Rio do Peixe, NE do Brasil.2019. 62f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Geologia) - Departamento de de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34401The Rio do Peixe basin belongs to the Interior Rift Basins of Northeast Brazil which is demarcated by an axis of rifting known in the literature as Cariri-Potiguar trend. The basin was generated as a result of the Early Cretaceous rifting that ended in the origin of African and South American continents and, as a consequence, originated the Brazilian Atlantic Equatorial Margin. From east to the west, the Rio do Peixe basin encompasses a set of four half-grabens: Pombal, Sousa, Brejo das Freiras, and Icozinho. The analyzed data consists of fifteen 2D seismic sections: seven in strike direction (NE-SW); seven in dip direction (NWSE); and one random section. Through these seismic sections, it was possible to perform a subsurface structural analysis of the southwestern portion of the Rio do Peixe Basin, more precisely focusing on the faulted margin of the Brejo das Freiras half-graben and the flexural margin of the Sousa half-graben. Filters and seismic attributes applied to the data was extremely important to the main objective of the work: to identify structures and, later, to perform the seismic structural interpretation of the data. As regards the structural framework of the basin, it was possible to identify structures such as normal (dominant) and reverse faults (both of which vary geometrically as planar, listric and concave faults), as well as folds (dragging and fault propagation folds). At the faulted margin of Brejo das Freiras half-graben, it was possible to map first-order faults, as well as synthetic and antithetic second- and thirdorder faults; besides faults, fault propagation (monoclines) and dragging folds were also identified. In the Sousa’s half-graben flexural margin, second and third order faults were identified, many of these being rooted in the crystalline basement, and were responsible for the generation of dragging folds and monoclines generated by fault propagation. Finally, Early Devonian strata were also characterized, whose reflectors are strongly affected by brittle deformation (second-order and third-order faults) indicating that this interval was strongly affected by the Early Cretaceous rifting.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/bacia rifte intracontinentalatributos sísmicosanálise sismoestruturalBacias Interiores.Análise de filtros e atributos sísmicos e interpretação sismoestrutural da porção SW da Bacia do Rio do Peixe, NE do BrasilbachelorThesis
