A matemática dos trajetos urbanos: atividades com uma geometria não euclidiana usando o google maps. 2020. 123f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de Ciências Naturais e Matemática) - Centro de Ciências Exatas e da Terra, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/29953This work is the result of a research of the professional master's degree in the Postgraduate Program in Teaching of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (PPGCENM) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) which aimed to discuss possibilities for working in the classroom a Geometry that adapts very well to the urban environment, through activities that used Google Maps to simulate and analyze routes and distances. The following question guided our research: how to approach the Geometry involved in urban paths in the Mathematics classroom using Google Maps? In order to answer it, we discussed the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) in Mathematics classes with a view to teaching content and as a way of promoting citizenship. As required by the professional master's degree, we developed an educational product - a didactic sequence - that allows the teacher to approach the Taxi Driver's Geometry through the simulation and analysis of displacements through the aforementioned software. The educational product was applied in a school in Rio Grande do Norte the state education system, with a class from the third grade of high school, which allowed us to test and evaluate the proposed activities. Data collection occurred through written and audio records collected during the application of the didactic sequence. Data analysis revealed that the use of Euclidean Geometry concepts in Taxi Driver Geometry allowed students to reflect on distances and displacements, also on the applications of different geometries. The simulations proposed by the activities enabled students to learn using their mathematical knowledge and the digital technologies used to validate strategies and solve problems.Acesso AbertoEnsino de GeometriaGeometria do taxistaTecnologias digitais no ensino de matemáticaGoogle MapsA matemática dos trajetos urbanos: atividades com uma geometria não euclidiana usando o google mapsmasterThesis
