Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em História), Departamento de História, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/48922The History teaching place has been reverberating in the academic research over the last decades, raising, in this way, the discussions about the historical education matter has in the lives of the basic education students, and how it has been entering more and more in the identity issues that involves these individuals. With that in mind, my research aims to analyses the narrative game Mares do Sertão, a card RPG which has as background the Northeast region, its hinterlands and its imagining, understanding the game as a teaching resource capable of potentialize the historical teaching and to promote an Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations – since the game has four racialized heroines as protagonists – in the High School classrooms. To set this debate, it was necessary to analyses the rules book manuscript of the game’s author as my main source. Then, at first, I pass through the discussion about the visibility and the dizibilidade over the Northeast, analyzing some speeches from the intellectuals who contributed to the historiography concerning to the image of the region, confronting these speeches with the game’s text. Next, through the History teaching reports reading, from studies about the BNCC’s curriculum, up to discussions involving games and identity issues, I demonstrate the potential for the historical education that Mares presents.
