The opportunity to interact with the production sector provides the development of appropriate skills for professional experience and validation. This work was prepared based on experiences in a marine shrimp post-larvae cultivation laboratory, located in the municipality of Luís Correia- PI. All the experience obtained was through the project “agricultural professional residency program: Aquaculture as an opportunity for professional growth for young graduates - a second round of possibilities” lasting one year. Phase 1 of larviculture is where we begin the entire production protocol for marine shrimp post-larvae, starting with feeding, daily management is done based on observation of the larvae in each tank where we assess whether they are active, stage of development and health analysis. The presence of necrosis or impregnation is monitored, if there is a delay in the larvae moulting, we add potassium to correct the alkalinity of the water. The meals are divided into 8 meals in phase 1 and increase to 12 in phase 2 with the use of specific diets. Food consists of dry and wet food and brine shrimp/biomass. The use of spirulina in cultivation demonstrated a high survival rate and high growth in larvae, the weight of the microalgae offered occurs in all phases of larval development, until they reach the post larval stage 2. The experience obtained has been promoting professional development within of a commercial productive space. Assessments and observations promote the ability to solve problems and manage adversities.
