The research addresses the current project management practices, analyzing the model in place at TCE/RN and contrasting it with existing best practices. The work aims to identify and evaluate the strengths of the current management model, highlighting its effectiveness, as well as to pinpoint gaps and challenges. To achieve this, a comparison will be made between the established theory of project management in the IT field and the application of the current model. Additionally, the study aims to explore the impacts resulting from non-adherence to the project management model, emphasizing potential issues and obstacles faced by the institution. Critical analyses and reflections will be presented on how the lack of alignment with best practices can negatively influence the success of IT projects at TCE/RN. In conclusion, this resource will provide recommendations and suggestions to enhance the current project management plan, aiming to optimize efficiency, reduce risks, and improve outcomes.
