The significance of satellite images in monitoring urban development concerning non-technical losses in the Brazilian electrical sector, particularly in clandestine connections, was discussed. The methodology involved the use of tools such as Open Buildings and Python to create an interactive map for identifying potential clandestine connections. The obtained results indicate the possibility of identifying clandestine connections in buildings situated far from the electricity distributor's reading coordinates.
