Utilização do extrato pirolenhoso na produção de mudas pré brotadas do Pennisetum purpureum Schumach cultivar BRS capiaçu. In animal feed, forages are necessary and essential throughout the year, however, there is a forage void caused by seasonality in production, this caused by the lack of water during the dry season of the year. Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum, Schum.) Is a tropical grass adapted to the climatic conditions of Brazil, has a high biomass production, is used as a food source for the herd, cultivation directed to the formation of weeds, pasture and silage production. In the quest to innovate, Embrapa launched in 2016 the BRS Capiaçu elephant grass cultivar with productive characteristics, nutritional quality, dry matter (MS) and green matter (MV) production superior to the other cultivars and clones of this forage. The study was conducted at the Academic Unit Specialized in Agricultural Sciences at UFRN, Campus Macaíba in the experimental period from 02/28/2019 to 03/31/2019. The statistical design was completely randomized, in a 6 x 6 x 11 factorial scheme, with 6 doses of the pyroligneous extract (0.0; 1.0; 2.5; 4.0; 5.5 and 7.0 mL.L -1), 6 yolks per repetition and 11 repetitions per treatment. The planting material was prepared and distributed for each treatment, being previously immersed for 10 seconds in the solutions with the respective concentrations of the extract. Subsequently, mini-wheels were planted in 290 cm3 tubes. The variables analyzed were: emergence, plant height (AP), stem length (CC), number of leaves (NC), leaf length (CF), root length (CR), green leaf weight and stem and Leaf dry weight and stem. The variables leaf MS, root length (CR), MV and stem MS were positively influenced by the pyroligneous, being the T4 treatment, which obtained the best averages in the study, with a dose of 4 mL.L-1 It is known that doses higher than these did not induce significant responses to the analyzed variables. The pyroligneous extract has a response as a root in the plants, however, further studies of it are necessary in BRS capiaçu, as well as to validate the system of pre-sprouted seedlings (MPB) in this forage grass.Capim-elefanteForrageiraCapineiraPecuáriaSazonalidadeElephant grassCapineiraForageLivestockSeasonalityUtilização do extrato pirolenhoso na produção de mudas pré brotadas do Pennisetum purpureum Schumach cultivar BRS capiaçubachelorThesis
