However, the increasingly common use of these products has triggered an environmental problem due to the disposal of these products as soon as their useful life ends. Those batteries have in their components Zinc or Manganese, heavy metals and that in contact with the soil or water are extremely toxic to living beings. The general objective of this research is to study the solid-liquid phase balance for the ternary mixing system formed by potassium chloride (KCl), manganese chloride tetrahydrate (MnCl2.4H2O) and water (H2O) at 25° C and 1 atm atmospheric pressure using the quasi-isothermal thermometry technique.
