The specific objectives are: i) To understand the relationship between the state government of Rio Grande do Norte and the Federal government with participatory instances aimed at the LGBTQIA+ community between 2019 and 2022; ii) To present how participatory institutions of the LGBTQIA+ movement contributed to the development of public policies for the community during this period; iii) To identify the challenges and opportunities encountered by LGBTQIA+ movements during the 2019-2022 period. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory character, utilizing documentary research and semi-structured interviews as data collection techniques. The analysis employed qualitative interpretative and descriptive content analysis.
