Aiming to increase the teaching-learning process of the visual arts, due to the shortage of digital games indicated for this purpose, we created a demo (development phase) of a puzzle-adventure digital game, named “The Talisman of Kanela”, bringing aspects of the culture and history of Rio Grande do Norte and artworks by local artists. Intending to explain how would the development of a game by two visual artists be, we discussed the relations between arts, games and education, the process of concept art, and described the creative process of the game’s characters and where the story takes place, also discussing strategies that could be used to create an educational game and some pedagogical proposals originated from it. It is hoped that this project will result in an addition to this short list of games related to visual arts, encouraging the appreciation of the arts and the notion that entertainment and education are able to work together for a better and more dynamic school environment.
