Method: This is a qualitative, descriptive study of the experience report type. Five CHA participated in a Basic Health Unit of the West Zone of Natal / RN. Firstly, a questionnaire was applied to know the profile of the group, and 5 clinical cases were presented to investigate the knowledge and practices of the CHA on language development. The most discussed points and the most significant difficulties were considered, which were organized into topics to be studied and debated in the following moment. The second phase of Permanent Education took place through an educational activity, in the form of a workshop. In the final moment of the workshop, the clinical cases were reapplied in order to investigate the effectiveness of Permanent Education and the consolidation of the knowledge addressed in the meeting. Results and Discussions: The CHAs remained participative and interacted during the discussions and proposed dynamics. There was a change in the behaviors performed, such as: strategies used in language stimulation, case discussion in a multidisciplinary team, the importance of hearing for language development. Conclusion: It is believed that the Permanent Education caused changes in the conducts performed.
