The teaching-learning of traditional techniques in the surgical area is based on practices carried out in human cadavers and animal models with subsequent insertion in environments with real procedures. With technological innovations, the emergence of simulators for training allowed conditions close to reality for the student to develop the necessary skills to reach the training phase in humans more prepared. In addition, in complex cases, surgical simulation also allows for planning and training by experienced physicians, enabling them to choose the best surgical approach strategies. Thus, this work describes the step-by-step manipulation of techniques for the development of a simulator for surgical training, in the improvement of scoliosis correction based on 3D segmentation of exams to extract the specific anatomy of the patient, enabling training with the more varied anatomical characteristics, which are important for the development of surgical residents, which can provide more security and contribute to reducing the time in the process.
