The association of catalysts had the objective of reducing the amount of oxygenated compounds and increasing the fractions of aromatic components. The pineapple crown leaves were submitted to immediate characterization, apparent density, calorific value, elemental analysis, cellulose content, hemicellulose and lignin, TGA / DTG, FTIR, and MEV. The catalysts used in the catalytic pyrolysis were characterized by TGA / DTG, FTIR, DRX and MEV. The pyrolysis reactions were carried out in micro-pyrolysis with monitoring and product analysis by gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy, Py-GC / MS. The results showed that the biomass has characteristics necessary to be applied to the rapid pyrolysis process, but it has been found that the products of conventional pyrolysis are highly oxygenated and, according to the literature, is detrimental to the quality of the bio-oil, Thus the ZSM-5 and HZSM-5 catalysts are used to increase the quality of the final product, favoring aromatization reactions and basically converting all oxygenated compounds to aromatic compounds.
