It is one of the last remnants of the Atlantic Forest in Rio Grande do Norte State , and is an important refuge for wildlife and in the maintenance of the water tables of the city of Natal. The “Bosque dos Namorados” is a green area, for public use, with trees that reach up to 35 m in height. It is an important area both as a remnant of Atlantic Forest, for Natal citizens. This area, was the object of this study between July and November 2018. In it, 18 quadrats of 25 m x 25 m (625 m²) were distributed, an area equivalent to 11.250 m². In each quadrat, for all trees above 1,5m height, diameter at breast height (DBH), trunk color and type of foliage were accessed. In total, 863 individuals were sampled, of which 111 were identified in 16 species.
