Acesso em:https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/27154The mineral extraction industry has a direct connection to the environment, due to the large volume of waste that is generated during the development of the activity, beyond the sector consume natural resources and energy and be an emitter of polluting gases in the atmosphere. In this context, this work aims to study, from a scientific and technological, the merger of industrial wastes in ceramic triaxial mass through statistical design of mixture, studying ten formulations with different proportions of waste and then made models undergoing compaction pressure of 25 MPa. The used residues were: wood ash, kaolin waste, the waste ceramic tile residue and steelworks, embedded in clay. The raw materials were characterized by x - ray diffraction , x -ray fluorescence , particle size analysis , differential thermal analysis , thermogravimetry , dilatometry and subjected to four different thermal cycles that they were : 855 °C and 955 °C at a rate heating 10 °C / min and a plateau 30 minutes to obtain structural products and other ceramic thermal cycle of 1080 °C and 1180 °C at a heating rate of 10 °C / min and a plateau of 10 minutes , for obtaining products of ceramic coating. After thermal testing models were again subjected to analysis of x - ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.
