O uso das f-words pode contribuir na reabilitação de crianças com deficiência física? Um estudo piloto do tipo de antes e depois com foco na família. 2021. 36f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia) – Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34128Introduction: The F-words are based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), they focus on six key areas of child development, namely: functionality, family, health, fun, friends and future. Objectives: To assess whether knowledge of F-words applied to families of children with physical disabilities can contribute to the understanding of intervention in rehabilitation. Methods: Pilot case series study, of the before and after type, at the physiotherapy clinic school of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Trairi (FACISA). Ten parents of 10 children with physical disabilities who were accompanied at the time of the study voluntarily participated, after signing the Informed Consent Form (TCLE). The intervention had 2 weekly meetings, involving educational sessions about F-words (video, pamphlet and puzzle) and lasting 6 weeks. The analysis was qualitative, descriptive. Results: Of the 10 caregivers, 3 were male and 7 female, aged between 23 and 44 years. Of the 10 children with disabilities, 5 were male and 5 female, aged between 10 months and 8 years and with varying health conditions. The descriptive analysis identified that the use of F-words facilitated the learning of children's families about the intervention process in their rehabilitation. Conclusion: The opportunity to incorporate the family into the process of setting goals, one for each domain of the FWords, made the intervention process dynamic and family-centered, based on the child's real needs.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Crianças.
