We have chosen, in particular, to explore the didactic potentialities of primary sources related to the development of the concept of atmospheric pressure. The educational product directed to the teacher training covers preliminary basic knowledge for the didactic insertion of History and Philosophy of Science. This step includes the approximation of historiographical tenets, the study of educational legislation, the analysis of excerpts from didactic books containing historical information related to the concept of atmospheric pressure and discussions on Nature of Science. Next, the educational product proposes discussions on the development of the specific physical concept through the study of original historical excerts. It seeks to awareness the future teacher regarding simplistic views of science and the inadequacy of the recurrent History of Science in the educational context, stimulating the perception of the need for consultation by the teacher of sources of historical information.
