It promotes economic gains, both environmentally and socially, through those who practice it. Data from this market is still scarce, but some research has already contributed to this. In Rio Grande do Norte a search was carried out of all those involved in the aquarium market, producers, resellers, and retailers. Through a questionnaire, it was possible to describe the profile of those involved, the demand for technical support and for the legalization of their activities. But for the real development of the area, it needs to be recognized and for that, researches throughout Brazil are also necessary. The activity of ornamental aquaculture is largely characterized by small productions. Even in small spaces the activity has been attracting new producers and proving economically viable. Thinking about the local development of communities, poor families and newly graduated students, in this work it was proposed the implementation of six production modules in areas similar to those found in several residences. The production of the Betta fish was presented as an alternative to the public for income improvement without the need for an intense management or high expense in acquiring structures.
