It begins with an analysis of Noether’s theorem, which relates symmetries to conserved quantities, and the mathematical description of these symmetries through group theory. From there, the application of functional integrals is explored to generalize Noether’s theorem to the quantum context, as well as the introduction of generalized symmetries in field theories.
