It involves the stages from hearing aids fitting to individualized speech therapy. Purpose: This article aims to analyze the performance of speech therapists in the field of audiology, as well as the procedures and services provided by public and private companies related to AR in Natal/RN. Methods: Hearing health centers were contacted through face-to-face contact or telephone call, inviting the speech therapists who were part of the team to participate in the research. Data were obtained through an online questionnaire. Results: Regarding the occupation field, it was identified a prevalence of participants who work with audiological evaluation, followed by a greater performance in the area of hearing aids. In addition, AR was the scarcest area of activity. And the private institution was the one with the greatest employment relationship. Regarding the procedures related to the adaptation of hearing aids, few participants performed insertion gain and auditory speech perception tests as measures of verification and validation of the hearing aid, and the minority applied questionnaires together with the other procedures. One participant working with AR performs informational counseling only.
