The primary objective is to explore how interior design principles are used to create environments that meet both the religious and aesthetic requirements of the local evangelical community. For this purpose, design elements such as layout, colors, materials, and lighting were considered. The research involved an extensive literature review on the topic, analyses incorporating concepts of emotional design and cognitive ergonomics, case studies with evangelical churches in Natal, and interviews with congregation members and leaders of these organizations. The results include the identification of design principles that can enhance worshippers’ experience and the proposal of projectual guidelines for designing evangelical worship spaces, as well some graphic representations (tables and moodboards) produced during the research process.
