Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Geologia) - Departamento de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61527Located in the Borborema Province, within the Rio Grande do Norte Domain and the Seridó Mineral Province, the Bonfim Mine is a polymetallic skarn deposit notable for its metalliferous association with Au-W-Bi. The Bonfim deposit is located 25 km southeast of the city of Lajes-RN and is classified as the main deposit in the province presenting polymetallic ore. The construction of geological models to characterize the spatial distribution of ore bodies is an essential tool in the stages of mineral exploration and resource evaluation. This study presents the three-dimensional characterization of the Bonfim II deposit, and the estimation of gold and tungsten grades based on a geological model derived from lithological and geochemical data obtained from 161 drill holes. The model was built using implicit modeling, delineating seven geological domains (i.e., Biotite Schist, Skarn A, Banded Marble, Skarn B, Skarn C, Phlogopite Schist, and Skarn Lenses). The exploratory data analysis stage enabled the understanding of the grade distributions of the elements of interest within the lithological domains through graphical and descriptive statistical analyses, identifying Skarn B as the most economically significant rock and the main lithological domain in this study. The grade estimation stage involved sample treatment to standardize sample sizes and address biases due to sample density in restricted areas of the spatial distribution, followed by variographic analysis to determine the directions of greatest, intermediate, and least continuity, as well as their maximum ranges. Subsequently, the resource estimation stage utilized the ordinary kriging geostatistical interpolator to identify regions enriched in gold and tungsten within the Skarn B body. The estimation was validated using techniques such as visual validation, comparison of global averages, and local validation through swath plots for the X, Y, and Z directions and the preferential direction of Skarn B. Finally, the tonnage estimation calculated 1,259,785.5 tons of rock, with an average grade of 2.626 ppm and 0.296% for gold and tungsten, respectively, resulting in 3.31 tons of contained gold metal and 3,728.97 tons of contained tungsten metal.Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/br/SkarnModelagem geológicaEstimativa de teoresAmostragemMinérioGeological modelingGrade estimationSamplingOreModelagem geológica 3D e estimativa de teores do depósito mineral Bonfim-II, Lajes/RN3D geological modeling and grade estimation of the Bonfim-II mineral deposit, Lajes/RNbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA
