The characterization of landscape changes related to land use and occupation is of great significance in urban and environmental planning studies. This study conducted a geoenvironmental analysis of the study area, characterizing, among other things: spatial and temporal changes in the dune system, including remnants of dunes and the associated water system – between 1978 and 2015 onwards, using the Digital Terrain Model (MDT) and Geoenvironmental model - determining the relevance of these systems for environmental balance. The research utilized both historical and current data and information, applying modern geoprocessing techniques and tools to detect and measure the main environmental problems or impacts in the study area. With the spatial database, providing a diagnosis of the current environmental situation using the European DPSIR methodology, in the study area, which is the Environmental Protection Zone 01 (ZPA-01) and its surroundings, as well as a set of procedures and products enabling management for sustainable use, preservation, and recovery of these ecosystems.
