Drag Design: Uma perspectiva queer para a criação de uma coleção de joias agênero inspiradas na arte drag. Natal/RN: Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/62226This work discusses the creation of a gender-neutral jewelry collection that is not associated with any specific gender. Drawing from the experimental and subversive spirit of drag art as a foundational reference, the project focuses on breaking binary logic and deconstructing cisheteronormativity. The collection was developed using an approach that aims to queer design, promoting and encouraging questioning and practices that challenge prevailing norms. By using drag art as the main source of inspiration, the project presents gender-neutral pieces that explore and inspire new possibilities for expressing identity. The primary objective was to design jewelry capable of transcending gender norms. The research involved a theoretical review of the social construction of gender, based on authors such as Judith Butler, Guacira Louro, and Marinês Santos, among others. It also included a historical study of drag art and jewelry-making to understand the cultural influence of each over the years. The project’s methodological path followed a three-phase methodology: exploratory, focused on the historical and social analysis of the themes addressed; generative, centered on constructing design parameters, creative processes, and idea generation; and implementation, where the digital models were produced. The result of the project is a bold and dynamic jewelry collection that seeks to challenge gender norms while promoting diversity, inclusion, and the freedom to be authentic.Design de joiasGêneroDrag Design: Uma perspectiva queer para a criação de uma coleção de joias agênero inspiradas na arte dragbachelorThesisCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES
