In order to analyze the narrative in question, this work has as its theoretical and critical foundation the notion of violence systematized by Marilena Chauí, Hannah Arendt, and Ginzburg. As for the methodological approach, bibliographical and qualitative research was adopted, as it focuses on subjective aspects of social phenomena and human behavior., portrays the theme in several works, such as “O Cobrador”, object of analysis of this work. We can see that "O Cobrador" is characterized by a raw and direct language, reflecting the harshness of life on the streets of Rio de Janeiro.
