In this sense, we bring the game as content and pedagogical strategy, but our main focus is to discuss the different nuances (spaces, materials, participatory planning, student protagonism, development of the thematic unit, among others) of two different school units, which, by themselves, they demand a series of distinct factors that are highly relevant to be discussed, namely: geographic, social, economic reality, municipalities, internal organizations, cultures, as well as factors to be known from this research. These factors are present in the lives of many teachers who share their teaching trajectory in more than one school. The present research sought, from an intervention report, to analyze the development of the thematic game unit in two elementary schools. The results show similarities and differences between both schools. As potential factors, we highlight participatory planning, the use of different spaces inside and outside the school, the making of some materials used and different forms of assessment. With regard to limiting factors, we identified space limitations, such as the open court, and some problems such as indiscipline and the withdrawal of some students from classes.
