Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Pedagogia) - Centro de Educação, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/57116This article aims to understand the meaning of the term listening for Kindergarten teachers and how listening to the kids is in their pedagogical practices. The research used was qualitative, containing recorded and transcripted interviews to categorize the data. Five education professionals who recently graduated or are completing their Pedagogy course participated in the research. The choice of this theme resulted from my experiences as an intern in a Kindergarten institution and from observing the teaching practices of other educators. To focus on the topic of listening, the theoretical discussions in this article were based on the reflections of authors such as: Freire (2019a, 2019b), Malaguzzi (1999), Rinaldi (2016, 2019), Kramer (1999, 2006). It was through the experiences and studies of these authors that the interest in the topic arose. Thus, the data shows that from the interviews carried out, listening plays a fundamental role in the learning process, bonding with children, in addition to being part of every moment, inside and outside the classroom, in specific moments when It is necessary for the children to express themselves in free moments, which is more present during playtime. In this matter, the teachers have a similar perspective that listening is not just hearing, it is more than that, they recognize that children in Kindergarten have many ways of expressing themselves, and it is necessary to be attentive to these forms of expression. Regarding pedagogical practices, they note the different ways of listening to children, promoting activities so that they can express themselves. Therefore, it was noticeable that the role of the teacher and the children are intercorrelated, in addition to understanding that the teacher is the person who can provide means of listening to be carried out and that the children are active, participative subjects with rights, making this way the educational institution a welcoming environment, which provides learning and affection.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/EscutaListeningEducação InfantilChild educationCriançaChildPráticas pedagógicasPedagogical practicesEscuta de crianças na perspectiva das professoras da Educação InfantilListening to children from the Early Childhood teachers' perspectivebachelorThesis
