In view of today's worrying geopolitical reality, as well as Brazil's status as a country welcoming refugees, the aim here is to achieve greater integration between Brazilian law and possible transnational legal situations arising from other legal systems. To this end, concepts were defined for the analysis of this possibility, through the study of the refugee status and its historical origins, theories related to the resolution of conflicts in space and the concept of domicile itself. Furthermore, it was demonstrated how the idea supported can be harmonized with the existing legal limits, safeguarding the values of the Brazilian legal system. The study was carried out through the analysis of several bibliographical sources, focusing on classical authors of civil law and private international law, as well as through the study of domestic and foreign legislation, international conventions and Brazilian case law.
