Humankind suffers from the difficulty of establishing its limit, making visible a space not worked between knowledge and human ignorance. Hence the importance of the school's role in highlighting work to sensitize students, community and society in a responsible and conscientious manner, environmental conservation exercising ecological acts in the present, to save the future. Environmental education in school should seek the student's motivation for changing attitudes values, sensitize them for environmental transformation of their reality. It is important that children learn that the responsibility is all, that the acts of each reflect on the future of all humanity, and clearly that nature is not inexhaustible source of resources, its reserves are finite and must be used in order rational, avoiding waste and considering recycling as vital process. Thus, this article focuses on Education and Environment in Educational Center Rita Beacon Alves - CERBA and aims to analyze how environmental education is being inserted into the school in order to discuss the importance of working environmental issues in room class to develop students' ability and cognitive skills as the theme. The methodology is based on a qualitative research based on books, documents and sites that support information, as well as visits to the environmental focus of study. From the results we note that it is of great importance walk along with our students in the pursuit of the socialization process and the construction of an individual and equal environmental education. Knowing although it is through concrete cases of life assimilate the way of being and doing.
