To this end, it is organized between Plateaus and Acts, in an authorial investigation mobilizing thinkers from both fields in favor of constructing the object, namely: FNE as a practice of self-care. On the other hand, this work also aims to establish critiques and arguments that problematize the scientific field of Nutrition and Food and Nutritional Education (FNE), which, as heirs of the modern order of scientific and medical Reason, continue to fragment and decontextualize the act of eating. It becomes essential to reconcile subject and life, reason and emotion, memories and affections in educational work in food and nutrition. The approach of Human Sciences and Philosophy to the field of FNE presents itself as a way to unclog perspectives and possibilities. To this end, we draw on the theoretical framework of Michel Foucault, especially regarding his analyses on self-care, seeking to articulate them as a possibility for the field of FNE. Thus, considering the educator in food and nutrition as the Other with regard to care practices would imply, as an effect, a relationship in which the experience of knowledge would result in the conversion of the subject itself, in the relationship of self to self. Therefore, there is an expansion of the repertoire of food experiences, which, in turn, produce a type of knowledge and self-care, a shift from the condition of heteronomy, in which knowledge is already established by the available technical-scientific knowledge and merely requires transmission, to another relationship, that of autonomy, in which knowledge is produced in the course of the educational process itself.
