Furthermore, the absence of standardization in these interfaces creates accessibility barriers for a range of users, including individuals with visual impairments and the elderly. This work proposes a layered architecture that utilizes natural language and automatic device detection to enable users without advanced technical skills to easily configure home routers. The goal is to simplify the configuration process for these devices, making it accessible to a broader audience. To achieve this, modules of a natural language-based system are established to comprehend and translate user configuration intent. Modules for automatic device identification and classification are also defined. The operational cycle of the architecture and its modules is specified, and a prototype validating the proposed layers is presented. The results of the proof of concept indicate that the integration of device detection and classification features into the architecture enriches the user interface with information about network devices. Validation conducted on the user interface achieved an overall accuracy rate of 87.1% in identifying user intent and 70.5% in mapping entities in high-level descriptions through natural language processing.
